1. Our CSR Commitment

Trisis Leather recognizes that responsible business is an essential part of long-term success. Our responsibility extends beyond producing quality leather apparel to protecting the rights and welfare of people, reducing environmental impacts, conducting business ethically and contributing positively to the communities connected to our operations.

Our CSR approach is guided by respect, transparency, accountability, continuous improvement and responsible sourcing.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to Trisis Leather’s employees, management, contractors, representatives, approved manufacturing partners and relevant suppliers to the extent applicable to their activities for Trisis Leather.

Where production is performed through approved external manufacturing partners, Trisis Leather expects those partners to maintain standards consistent with the principles in this policy and to cooperate with reasonable compliance, quality and social-responsibility checks.

3. Human Rights

Trisis Leather respects internationally recognized human rights and seeks to ensure that business activities do not knowingly contribute to human-rights abuses.

We expect our employees and business partners to treat workers with dignity and respect and to provide a workplace free from abuse, intimidation, harassment and degrading treatment.

4. No Child Labour

Trisis Leather does not permit child labour in its operations or knowingly accept child labour within its approved supply chain.

Workers must meet the minimum legal working age applicable to the place of employment and the requirements of relevant international labour principles. Age-verification procedures should be maintained where legally appropriate.

Any suspected child-labour issue must be reported immediately and investigated. Corrective action must prioritize the child’s welfare and compliance with applicable law.

5. No Forced or Compulsory Labour

Trisis Leather prohibits forced, bonded, trafficked or involuntary labour.

Workers must be free to leave employment in accordance with applicable law and contractual requirements. No worker should be required to surrender identity documents, pay unlawful recruitment fees or work under threats, coercion or intimidation.

6. Non-Discrimination & Equal Opportunity

Employment decisions should be based on legitimate job-related criteria such as skills, qualifications, performance and experience.

Trisis Leather does not tolerate unlawful discrimination or harassment in recruitment, compensation, training, promotion, discipline or termination.

7. Freedom of Association & Worker Voice

Trisis Leather respects applicable workers’ rights to raise workplace concerns and, where legally applicable, to associate or participate in collective representation.

Employees should have reasonable channels to communicate concerns without retaliation.

8. Fair Employment & Working Conditions

Trisis Leather seeks to provide employment conditions that comply with applicable labour laws and contractual requirements.

Relevant controls include employment documentation, lawful wages and benefits, working hours, rest periods, leave entitlements and timely payment.

Where overtime is required, it should be managed in accordance with applicable law and agreed employment conditions.

9. Worker Health & Safety

Trisis Leather is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. This is consistent with the ILO’s recognition of a safe and healthy working environment as a fundamental principle and right at work. citeturn0search2

Safety controls should cover machinery, electrical systems, fire prevention, emergency exits, first aid, workplace housekeeping, ventilation, lighting, ergonomic risks and relevant personal protective equipment (PPE).

10. Health & Safety Implementation

Where applicable, our workplace and approved production partners should maintain: accessible emergency exits; appropriate fire extinguishers and fire-safety arrangements; first-aid provisions; machine guards and safe operating procedures; PPE for relevant tasks; worker safety training; incident reporting; emergency-response procedures; and regular housekeeping.

Workers should receive appropriate instruction before operating machinery or handling hazardous processes.

11. Worker Safety Illustration

The safety framework above illustrates the continuous cycle of prevention, training, safe operation, reporting and improvement.

12. Environmental Responsibility

Trisis Leather recognizes that leather apparel manufacturing can involve resource use, chemicals, wastewater, energy consumption and production waste. We therefore seek to reduce environmental impact through practical controls appropriate to the scale and nature of our operations.

Environmental priorities include responsible material use, waste reduction, energy efficiency, appropriate chemical handling, water stewardship and lawful waste disposal.

13. Leather & Material Efficiency

We aim to improve leather utilization through appropriate pattern planning, cutting efficiency and responsible handling of hides.

Usable off-cuts should be considered for appropriate secondary uses where commercially and technically practical. Unusable leather waste should be segregated and handled through lawful and responsible disposal or recovery channels where available.

14. Chemicals & Leather Processing

Chemicals used by Trisis Leather or relevant production partners should be handled, stored and disposed of according to applicable legal and safety requirements.

Where leather processing is performed by partner tanneries, Trisis Leather seeks to work with responsible suppliers and to obtain relevant material or compliance documentation when required by the customer.

15. Water, Energy & Emissions

We encourage efficient use of water and energy and practical measures to reduce unnecessary consumption.

Relevant measures may include efficient equipment, preventive maintenance, switching off unused equipment, minimizing avoidable production losses and monitoring significant resource consumption where feasible.

16. Waste Management

Waste should be identified, segregated and managed appropriately. Priority should be given to reduction, reuse and recovery before disposal where technically and legally feasible.

Common waste streams may include leather off-cuts, textile/lining waste, paper/cardboard, plastics, packaging waste, metal components and general waste.

17. Community Engagement

Trisis Leather aims to contribute positively to the communities connected to its operations.

Potential initiatives include vocational skills development, support for local employment, employee volunteering, educational support, charitable contributions and community assistance, subject to available resources and appropriate governance.

18. Ethical Business Conduct

Trisis Leather is committed to conducting business honestly, transparently and professionally.

We prohibit bribery, kickbacks, extortion, falsification of records and other corrupt practices. Employees and representatives must not offer, promise, request or accept improper benefits intended to influence a business decision.

The UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles cover human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, including a principle against corruption in all forms. citeturn0search12turn0search9

19. Gifts, Hospitality & Conflicts of Interest

Business gifts and hospitality must be reasonable, lawful and appropriate to the business relationship and must never be used to improperly influence a decision.

Employees should disclose actual or potential conflicts of interest that could affect impartial business decisions.

20. Accurate Records & Transparency

Business records should be accurate, complete and maintained appropriately. Employees must not knowingly falsify production, payroll, inspection, sourcing, financial or compliance records.

Customers may request reasonable information about relevant CSR practices and supply-chain controls, subject to confidentiality and commercial considerations.

21. Supplier & Manufacturing Partner Responsibility

Trisis Leather expects approved suppliers and manufacturing partners to respect applicable laws and the principles of this policy.

Supplier evaluation may consider labour practices, workplace safety, production capability, quality performance, environmental practices and ethical conduct.

Where a significant non-compliance issue is identified, Trisis Leather may require corrective action, increase monitoring, suspend production or discontinue the relationship depending on severity.

22. Grievance & Whistleblowing

Workers and business partners should have a reasonable mechanism to raise concerns about unsafe conditions, harassment, discrimination, forced labour, child labour, corruption, environmental misconduct or other serious violations.

Good-faith reporting should not result in retaliation. Concerns should be investigated objectively and confidentially where practical.

23. Monitoring, Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement

CSR performance should be reviewed periodically. Where gaps are identified, Trisis Leather will seek practical corrective and preventive actions.

Corrective actions may include worker training, process changes, additional supplier checks, improved documentation, safety improvements, material changes or enhanced monitoring.

Our objective is continuous improvement rather than a one-time compliance exercise.

24. Customer & Third-Party Assessments

Where commercially agreed and reasonably applicable, Trisis Leather and its approved manufacturing partners may cooperate with customer assessments, social audits, factory inspections or third-party verification.

Any customer-specific CSR or compliance requirement should be agreed before production so that responsibilities, documentation and audit arrangements are clear.

25. CSR Documentation

Where applicable, records may include employee and training records, safety inspections, incident records, supplier assessments, corrective-action reports, waste records, material documentation and customer audit reports.

Records should be maintained for an appropriate period consistent with applicable law, customer requirements and company procedures.

26. Policy Governance & Review

Management is responsible for implementing and periodically reviewing this policy.

This policy may be updated as Trisis Leather grows, customer requirements develop, applicable laws change or new responsible-business practices become appropriate.

27. Our CSR Promise

Trisis Leather believes that responsible manufacturing is built on respect for people, protection of the environment, ethical business conduct and accountability throughout the supply chain.

Our commitment is to grow our business responsibly while building long-term relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, manufacturing partners and communities.

28. Environmental Responsibility Illustration

29. Customer-Facing CSR Statement

“Responsible manufacturing is part of how we build long-term partnerships.”

At Trisis Leather, we are committed to respecting workers, maintaining safe working conditions, preventing child and forced labour, promoting equal opportunity, conducting business ethically and continuously improving our environmental practices.

We expect the same principles to guide our approved manufacturing partners and relevant suppliers. Our CSR approach is designed to provide customers with greater transparency and confidence in the people, processes and partners behind their leather apparel.
